Righto; real person here. Australian. Did some research and decided to give shower filters a try - this is my first one ever (going to start cheap and see if they make any difference in my hair health before investing more).
Installation: dead easy. Took me (a single woman in her 20s with no trade experience) under 5 minutes. Instructions are super easy to follow and I’m not usually one to actually read them, but wanted to make sure I installed it right the first go.
Saw a couple of reviews saying the filter snapped/cracked when installing - it looks chrome but it isn’t. Pretty sure it’s plastic, but still decent quality. Anyways I don’t care; I’m after the filtration inside, not the weight of the thing. That said, be GENTLE when you install it. Use soft hands and twist it on firm but not using all of your muscle if you get me.
Looks fine. I pre-rinsed it as the directions said to, but even when I turned the shower on to test it, a bit of grey-coloured water ran out for a few seconds (probably just dry excess carbon dust from first use so no worries - water ran clear pretty quickly).
It does reduce the water pressure SLIGHTLY but not enough for me to complain.
I’ll do another review in a few months and let ya’ll know if it works well. It’s supposed to last 6 months before needing a new filter inserted inside (you can purchase new filters instead of having to buy the whole thing again).
I swear I reached a breaking point with my hair. No matter how many expensive masks, oils, and leave-in treatments I bought, my hair still looked like dry straw. I lived in constant frustration, spending money on "miraculous" products that promised hydration, but nothing worked. Until a friend who studies cosmetology told me: "girl, the problem isn't your products, it's your shower water."
That's when it clicked. I live in an area with super hard water, full of chlorine and who knows what other heavy metals. I was literally washing my hair with dirty water every single day. I needed an urgent solution before having to shave my head (ok, exaggerating, but I was desperate).
After researching, I went with this weAQUA filter. Installation was way easier than I expected. I screwed it onto the shower arm in like 5 minutes and you barely notice it—the chrome finish looks sleek. But the important part: does it work?
It's been 5 months since I installed it and I can honestly say it was the best investment I've ever made for my hair.
The first few weeks, I already noticed my hair wasn't coming out as tangled from the shower. Over the months, the texture completely changed. My hair went from dehydrated, dull, and brittle to actually having movement, shine, and real softness. I no longer need to apply a liter of conditioner for it to feel even halfway alive. Even my treatments now actually work because the water isn't blocking absorption.
My mom uses it too and even she, who's super skeptical, said: "something's different with the water, my hair doesn't feel as rough anymore."
If you suspect your home's water is slowly killing your hair, do yourself a favor and buy this filter. Five months later, I'm still convinced it was a before and after. My hair isn't dead anymore—it's alive and thriving.
You need to add this for your hair health.
Combine it with vitamins and it will work fine for your hair and skin
Super easy to install, and I felt the difference instantly after my first shower. The water felt softer and genuinely refreshing - not just wet. Before, my skin and hair would feel dry and irritated, and my eyes would go red almost every time. I used to blame my shampoo or body wash, but turns out it was just the chlorine in the water.
Now? No itchiness, no redness, and everything feels way cleaner. If you're on the fence, this is the real deal - no BS. One thing I would like to point out is that after my 3rd shower, it didn't feel as "nice" but that's probably my body adapting to the new baseline.
Good quality and effective! For the 2 of us with daily short showers one filter lasts about 4-5 months! Works really well, no chlorine smell, no itchy skin after showers and we feel clean as does our hair! Gets rid of a goodly amount of contamination in our shower water! Which means our skin isn’t absorbing harmful substances as we get clean! Definitely recommend!

So far so good... It's really having a great affect on skin and especially softening hair... I've also noticed that there's no more residue and scum in the shower... Good product, especially for the price... Does what it's says it does
Real person here — installed it in under 5 minutes, no tools needed. Water feels softer straight away and my skin doesn’t feel as dry after showering. Solid product so far.
Been using this for a couple of weeks and honestly my hair feels smoother and less frizzy. Didn’t expect a huge change but definitely noticed something.
Wasn’t trying to spend too much but this actually does the job. Water feels lighter and my skin irritation has reduced a bit.
Fantastic purchase!

These watches are an incredible value. I will definitely be getting more styles from Lucky Fours. I've already been telling my friends about the brand.
